The oven story continues

Monday afternoon I decided to have an early & very long bath as I got ready to have the bath I reminded Royce that he had to adjust the height of the new stove as it was just under the height of the bench top and this is not a safe way of using a naked flame. So off I go to have a bath - relaxing away, reading and generally just feeling good, I could hear Royce working away on the stove. All of a sudden I hear this crashing sound, I thought at the time that Royce has just thrown the grill plate on the floor. So after I get out of the bath I wander into the kitchen to see how it all looks. Well let me tell you I did not expect to see this.

Yes that's my new stove with a broken glass door. AS they were lifting up the front of the stove the door smashed. I was just so upset I felt like crying. I know I screamed quite loudly "what happened", I was too upset to even talk to Royce as I knew that what came out of my mouth was not going to be good. But I was fighting back tears for most of the night.
We ended up having a bbq for tea.

John talked to the Glem people and they are sending a new door to their service agent in Nowra and hopefully we will have a new door very soon.
In other news we are getting two lambs this week to keep the grass in our paddocks down and very soon the chook shed will go up so we can have chooks as well. Garden beds will hopefully be in in the next few weeks.

Oh, Gail, don't we all have stories like this to share. I am so sorry & would have been like you, not saying much for fear of what would come out!
Glad the new door is on the way ... great stove.

Have a lovely day ~
