Blogtoberfest day 9 - Pink Ribbon Lunch

Yesterday I went to Nicola's Pink Ribbon Lunch. It was a lovely day with about 12 ladies - some I didn't know and I few I just knew and Nicola and Sharon whom I have known for years. Nicola married Lyndsay who I went to school with from infants school, I met her at playgroup so have known her since b4 Royce went to school.
And Sharon I guess you would call her a family friend. I have always known Sharon, she was very close to one of my brothers . Her youngest son and my youngest are also really good mates, so we are both seeing a lot of each others sons. It was nice to catch up with her and being able to talk to someone with a son of similar traits. It turns out that Nicolas youngest is very similar also to our boys.
Anyway here's a few pics of the day. Look at all that dessert and Lyndsay was worried there would be nothing leftover for him.

Lunch is served.

These decorations were from Nicolas parent marriage renewal and her mum had kept them in a cupboard and thought they would be perfect for the lunch - they were.

And the tray of goodies to purchase. I bought a pin and a pen. If you see anyone anywhere selling these items buy one as all the money goes to the Breast Cancer Fund all of us somewhere in our lives has been touched by a life that has been affected by breast cancer.
