Life update

Life has been pretty hectic over the last few weeks. How manic does it get at Christmas time. I have been flat out finishing handmade gifts for 2 advent swaps, both were sent last week. Have also made 2 beautiful altered vanity cases for my bible study/quiting group leaders but forgot to take pics.

Work is simply mad, most people have left their Christmas shopping till the last few weeks and it has simply been mad. I am going home exhausted.

Also in the middle of that we had Ian "Macca" McNamara, from ABC radio, visit us for his new book & CD signing. I have been made the unofficial special promotions girl for work so it was my job to see it ran smoothly which it did. We had about 45 people came to see him. He is just so fabulous with people, had time to talk to each one and ask about their life etc.

The following pic is the original line up more people came during the morning.

A pic of all the Nowra A&R staff with Macca.

The window I put together for his visit.

Macca and my window. This random guy just popped out and said hey can I join in - so Macca being the gracious person he is said sure buddy.

Now this lady is a regular and she came up to Macca and told him that he met her daughter, SIL and grandaughter at Inverell, he responded with yes I remember and the pic is in this book. So this pic is him showing her the pic in the book. Just after the daughter turned up with the little girl and a new baby.

This next pic is a display I did for a competition with ABC, still waiting to hear if we won $500. The funny thing with this display is Maraianne that I work with suggested that I cut the posters into strips to use like curtains, I laughed becasue I was thinking that it would be great to have curtains but couldn't think of how . This isnt the first time we have had similar ideas for our windows or displays. We thought it looked great and so did our customers.

Oh Gail I can so identify with you - the last few weeks have been crazy haven't they. I am one of those too who have left their Christmas shopping to the last minute - so hate that cause I hate the crowds out trying to shop. Looks like the book signing went well.

Gail, how amazing does that curtain look? Looks like you've had a really fun time despite all the madness and how fun to have a job where you can still display your creativity!
