Craft & quilt fair & Birthday pressie

Last Wednesday I took myself off to Sydney on the 5.48am train to spend two days at the Craft show. I had an absolute ball. I stayed over night with my nephew, Mark, and he took me to a sushi train for dinner - yummo. I came home exhausted but very happy and very broke on Thursday afternoon.

I did 6 lessons at the show including a nano felt class where i made a flower brooch, a left handed embroidery class, felt/charm heart class, a celtic rings earring class, Japanese Owl class and another felting class.

I enjoyed making the felt flower so much on Wednesday that I booked myself into a another felting class on Thursday. here I felted a flower design on this triple chiffon scarf. The class was meant to be 2 hours but we only had 1 1/2 hours to get me done - and we did. I am soooo thrilled with my scarf - its sooooooo me.

Another view.

A close up on a felt flower on my scarf.

Here's the reason I came home broke. I bought just a few things.
Had a ball and can't wait to go to the next one.

This is a table runner I made for my sisters birthday yesterday. And let me tell you I finished hand sewing the binding with about 15 minutes to spare b4 we had to leave to meet her at the Club.

Fabulous scarf Gail. I can see why you had a "ball" at the craft fair.
