Around my home October 1, 2009

Today I am sharing just a little bit of my home. I just wandered around and took pics of whatever took my fancy.
This is our dog Ziggy.

One of our cats Tiffy. Sitting on my bed. I had to make little covers for the bed to keep her fur of our quilt. But for some reason she has taken to sitting right up near my pillow na I really don't like a face full of car hair when I try to go tosleep.

This little teapot collection sit on the surrounding edge to my kitchen and all of these teapots belonged to Johns mum. I think it look very pretty and I do like pretty things in my home. Most of the pretty things we have on display were Johns mums.

I so love our large 8 seater table. Its big enough o have table decorations. I made this table runner from some caring hearts form the craft forum girls. The bowl & plate were a gift form my son and I have filled it with chunky pot pouri, glass baubles and a mirror ball. I have added a few pretty butterflies also. I really love how this looks.

This is the room John spends most (read all) of his spare time. He loves nothing more than sitting in the lounge room (in his recliner) and watching TV on his new surround sound system.

This little corner of the dining room is where Haylee & I display our scrapping. Each month we change this table to a new theme. As is' the 1st of October this should be changed today but Haylee is away for a few days and this month is actually her turn for displaying her work.

This is quite ugly but with the dreadful windy or cloudy weather we have had to hang the washing up inside for a good part of the week.

Now to our master bed room. i have a fetish for pretty candles and i picked this one up in my favourite candle shop"Candleberries" in Berry on Sunday.

I just adore the box it came in and it smells so nice.

My dressing table is normally a catching ground for all sorts of bits and pieces. It doesn't look to bad in this pic.
This belongs to a bedroom set that was Johns grandparents. We believe it was 2nd hand when they obtained it.

This doll was a gift from my mum for my 30th birthday 15 years ago. it's one of the few things I have that were mums or was given to me by mum.

And lastly under my dressing table is the piles of books I have to read. I have 3 more now as I bought Twilight, My sister Keeper and the new Diana Gabaldon book "An echo in the bone " home today. I have already read the first two b4 but My sister keeper is Octobers forum book club read and I know I will read Twilight over and over again (I can't believe I have become obsessed with a series of books about vampires).

Now that I have shared a little bit of my home I would like to challenge you to take random shots of your home and share them on your blog. If you do please leave me a message with a link to your post so I can check out your home too.
Come back in a months time as I think I might so this again.
