This week

Have finally recovered from the 21 celebrations which started Friday night, will put up some pics once we have uploaded them. Royce was very excited at how much thought went into all of his presents. His friends love his pressie from us - a Pool table.

I have been reading Peter Walsh's "It's all too much" a book on decluttering your house. Well I might say that we don't have a real clutter problem as some of his clients do - all flat spaces taken up by pieces of paper and junk - but we do have a few places in the house with TOO MUCH STUFF. So this week I have purged my wardrobe - given way 3 bags of clothes and about 6 bags. Have yet to do the shoes (that's going to hurt).

I have also culled big time in my sewing room. Have given over 20 magazine and crafts books to the op shop and downsized my button collection by a quarter, they now fit on one shelf, you can see each jar and they don't all try to jump off the shelf when you move one - I still have 9 jars and 4 other containers of buttons. Now b4 any of you get upset that I didn't offer them to you - I have to say that if they did not leave my house yesterday they would not have left - I know they would have ended up back in my collection - I didn't want that. Still have the fabric to go through but its all contained quite neatly so I am not really concerned about it.

I am hoping to get to the scrap room sometime this week. Speaking of scrapping we have Jess & Kristy coming over today to scrap with Haylee & I, so I should have a new recipe holder to show you soon.

Button culling......very brave of you. I can understand wanting them out the house once the deed was done.

Glad the 21st went so well. Amy's engagement is Saturday next weekend.

It's hard to do such a big clean out isn't it - especially with things like craft stuff... But it feels so good once it's done :) I don't know about you, but I always feel more creative after a big clean. Now that I'm getting back into sewing I've been tempted to buy a few patchwork books. But then I figured there are so many free tutorials on the net and books to borrow from the library, there's really no need for me to go buying books (unless it's something I really love and will actually use and not just look at the pretty pictures).
