Tins for SECET

Each year I attend (actually help make scones) for an open garden day at Abbeywood in the Fields, just North of Berry, to raise money for SECET - Shoalhaven Employers of Christian Education Teachers - who put scripture teachers in our local High Schools.
This year I have decided to alter some Illy coffee tins to donate for sale.
I have been working on these for a few months now (on & off) and now have about 15 (some still to be decorated) to sell. Here's a pic of the completed ones.

Fun Family Day

Today was a public holiday here in NSW. So we decided it would be a good day to try out our new Spicks and Specks Interactive game and a TV Week Trivia board game.

Erin, Cathy, Kyle & Tasha joined us for a BBQ followed by the games.

But before we did either of those things we had to make some Teds in Bed that one of the girls at Scrap Of Faith shared with us. Royce came in after I made the prototype (I was going to let Kyle & Tasha make them) and exclaimed they were the most fabulous thing he had ever seen (might add here that Royce is 19). He decided to make a double bunk of teddies.

We ended up making several plates of them and here is a pic of the one featuring the bouble bunks.

John cooked our barby, but we had trouble getting the pork ribs to cook so I suggested he closed the lid. That was all well and good, it cooked the ribs but made charcoal of the lamb chops, some even disintergaded on the char grill.

After lunch we played the spicks and specks game, it was a lot of fun. But I have to say the anagram quiz and the singing from a book was really hard.

Anyway I was in Johns team (he was Al) and we won both games.
Then we played the TV Week Trivia game it took quite some time and in the end Haylee, Erin and Tasha's team won.

We also spent some time outside playing soccer with Ziggy. When we came inside he gave me a big hug.

Well that was our day.
